About Me

It is difficult for me to say much about myself and my love for photography. I have always loved it…even before the age of 10 when I got my first camera, a Yashica point n shoot. The big love matured in 2008 when I got my first DSLR as part of payment for giving a Photoshop course in an advertising agency. I stumbled upon flickr a few years ago and saw jaw dropping work from all over the world. I have made friends and learnt so much from the experience.

My dear family has encouraged and supported me. My sons Saif and Moheb are a joy to photograph.  My wife Sabeen is an amazing critic and has given valuable suggestions. They are my inspiration and all time models. It was their pictures that everyone saw. My only aim was to keep memories of our everyday life. We shared them with friends and they are the ones who told me I was good at it. I did some sessions and they insisted on paying, along came referrals…I started professional work and am slowly investing on my equipment now.

I do studio work though I prefer natural light. I integrate Photoshop in my work, less to remove blemishes then to set the mood of my pictures. I consider it a valuable tool that has taken Photography to another level.

My aim is to keep shooting and exploring the possibilities. I would like to continue it at a slower pace as that is the way I enjoy it. It keeps my mind off many unimportant aspects of everyday life and works like a cheap therapy.  I am afraid that becoming a full-time professional will take the fun out of it.

I am fortunate enough that my clients return to me for more.

I am fortunate enough that I have help and support of so many friends to be able to do what I love to do.
